This just in from our esteemed colleague and co-enabler Brad Roth of the Cottonwood Creek Conservancy…looking for some able hands and help with creek-habitat maintenance this Saturday: “Since we have spent the last few months helping with the Pacific View School rehabilitation instead of working on Cottonwood Creek habitat, we need to catch up on some maintenance. So we will be having a work day this Saturday, the 10th, from 8:30 to 12:30 (late arrivals ok). We will be doing maintenance on our recent plantings and some weeding and trail maintenance. The forecast is for partly sunny with a high near 65. We will have an interpretive tour of our habitat restoration area during our 10:30 break. We will meet at our usual gathering at the trail entrance near the southeast corner of B St. (extension of Encinitas Blvd. west of Coast Highway 101) and Third St., 2 blocks west of Coast Highway 101 in Encinitas. It’s just up from the sewer pump station on that corner. There is parking on the street or in the big Moonlight Beach parking lot at the top of the hill at Third and C Streets. Wear clothes suitable for gardening and sun protection- hat, sunscreen, etc. Water and oranges will be available. If you can’t make it this time, our usual date is the second Saturday of the month from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.”— Brad Roth, Project Manager, Cottonwood Creek Conservancy: firstname.lastname@example.org Cel: 442-888-0839.
